My name is Elzbieta Akacka, I am a teacher of Polish language and literature. My hobbies are travelling, reading books and taking photos. I hope that participating in the project will let our students widen their knowledge about European countries and help to develop social skills.  This is also a great possibility to meet new people and learn something new from each other.

Participating school: Max Planck Gymnasium, Gottingen,

                                    Germany

Max Planck Gymnasium is a secondary school for students aged 10-18 years old.  The Gymnasium is based in the centre of Göttingen and is one of five grammar schools in the city.  There are also two comprehensive schools.  The catchment area is Göttingen and surroundings.  The lead departments in this project are Sports, Geography, Politics, History, Languages and ICT.   A number of nationalities are represented in the school community and a large percentage of the parents are employed at the university.  The school has video conferencing facilities and the students are able to communicate via Facebook and  E- Twinning.
