Cooking of national dishes

One of our Project's tasks was to prepare national dishes. Christmas was an excellent time to have it done. During the festival people prepare traditions Polish dishes for Christmas Eve supper. On the 19th and 20th Decemberm students in our school celebrated Christmas in their classes. Teenagers brought self-made typical Polish food from home. On the table there were: borsch with ravioli, kutia, dumplings stuffed with sour cabbage and mushrooms, dumplings stuffed with poppy-seed, fish with vegetables, herrings in oil and many others. Polish Christmas dishes aren't too healthy or light but the recipes have got a long tradition and derive from our history. Everybody will admit that the dishes are tasty!
